One thing that you have to know about orchids is that they adapt to all types of environmental conditions very well. However, they grow best in tropical places. This is because they love moist and humid environments since this is the best place for them to utilize nutrients properly and survive easily. But if you’re planning to grow orchids and your place is not exactly humid, then you can also use plant mister.

The one place where you won’t be able to see orchids grow normally though is Antarctica since the weather conditions are not exactly very tropical. This is why during the winter season, it is best to move your orchids indoors.

You can typically see orchids growing on other plants and trees. However, they are not really parasitical plants since they don’t use any of the nutrients that come from their hosts. You don’t have to worry about growing other plants or trees just to be able to grow orchids. You can also see orchids growing on rocks since they use it for support.

If you’re planning to grow orchids, you don’t have to necessarily build a greenhouse for them. However, if you are seriously into growing orchids or you want to grow different varieties of them, then a greenhouse can be a very suitable place for them to grow. You don’t have to build a very big greenhouse. If you are just thinking of growing a small number of orchids, then you might want to get a small indoor greenhouse unit. It doesn’t take that much space but you can change the climate inside of it to make it more humid.
